January 25, 2018 - Auditions for Lead Singer
Several Species Pink Floyd Experience is auditioning candidates for lead vocalist. If you have a great voice that encompasses elements of David Gilmour and Roger Waters and have an interest in this project please send a video link to [email protected]. The candidate will be singing both the David Gilmour and Roger Waters parts. Test yourself first to make sure you can sing the high notes in "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" and "On the Turning Away." Test your sing/scream with the last lines in both "One of My Turns" and "Hey You." If you are comfortable with singing those passages and have what it takes then send in your video link to the band. We will respond via email to all candidates on next steps.
About Several Species: Several Species is a Baltimore-based Pink Floyd tribute band performing primarily in the mid-Atlantic states and as far west as Ohio headlining a two-day rock festival of classic rock bands. The band rehearses in Timonium, Maryland. The band usually performs 3-4 huge shows a year in front of thousands of fans oftentimes playing entire Pink Floyd albums all the way through. Each September the band performs what is usually the close out concert of the season at Pier 6 Concert Pavilion in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The band has 11 members and for special shows expands to even greater numbers to include strings and brass. The show includes many elements of a live Pink Floyd concert including 18' diameter circular screen with moving pictures, quadrophonic surround sound, laser lighting, intelligent lighting and massive props (i.e. inflatable pig from the Animals album). The band prides itself on the delivery of a first rate production.
